I joined some friends last night at the Lazy Bear “underground” restaurant in San Francisco. Over in the Mission District, the setting was great inside an old building. Brick walls all around, and a total of I believe, 42 people. I was in a group of six, and we were about to have quite the culinary experience.
Before we went through many courses, they brought us various “snacks.” My favorite of which was the bread and butter.
One of the final courses, and my favorite of the evening was the veal. The orange slices went with the veal extremely well.
One of the desserts was a strip of layered cake with malt ice cream. The ice cream was fantastic! I enjoyed the puffed sweet wheat as well.
